"Mom"
"what Sweety?"
"Why can we see our air when its cold out?"
"Its called breath Sweety"
Her"Ok, why can we see our breath when its cold out?"

Me "Because our breath is warmer than the air outside of us"
Her "Ok, but why can we see it?"
Me"its condensation Sweety and our hot breath starts to turn solid when it hits the cold air"

Her "whats combensayshun?" Me "ask your science teacher" Wink

Her" Hey! look the sun is going down"
Me"no its coming up"
Her "well it looks like its going down"
Me"It cant go down on that side, It comes up in the east and goes down in the west"

Her "well I think it should come up on the other side"
Me" Actually the sun doesnt move at all, the earth does"
Her"where does it move to?"

Me (showing her with my hands) "the sun stays here and the earth turns which makes it look like the sun comes up and goes down"
Her " How come we dont fall off if its turning?"
Me "Gravity"
Her "I dont feel it grabbin me" :?
Me "ask your science teacher" Biggrin "and have a great day at school today"

lol, that is sooo cute! I absolutely adore these kind of conversations with kids this age... when they are eager to learn!!

Gavity = Grabity that is one smart kid. That would be a great hook to get kid's attention in a classroom.

Cool story. Biggrin

God bless our teachers!! Imagine the things the kids have bottled up that all the parents have answered with "Um, ask your teacher" HA!

My eight year old SD called it "air" too!

Gotta love the neverending questions of those little sponges.

I so love our morning conversations Smile
I just wish I did have all the answers , but alas I dont, so I will refer her to her overworked and underpaid teachers and maybe she can teach me something Biggrin
