Dear Valued Users,
It's with a heavy heart that we announce the permanent closure of StepTalk.org on August 31st, 2025.
This decision wasn't an easy one. For over twenty years, StepTalk has been a source of support for stepparents around the world! However, over the years, the costs associated with maintaining and upgrading the site to remain secure, meet current standards and maintain availability have become unsustainable.
We are incredibly grateful for your support, contributions and the community you've helped us build. Your engagement has made StepTalk.org a special place and we cherish the memories and connections made here.
We would especially like to thank Aniki for volunteering to be a moderator and for caring so much.
Thank you for being a part of our journey and we wish you all the best.
Sincerely,
Dawn and The StepTalk Team

I now exactly how you feel.
I now exactly how you feel. And I also was going to suggest some happy pills and alcohol. Lock yourself in your room or get out as much as possible.
When things get really bad for me I tend to go drive around searching for a rent house. Somehow I always leave my notebook with the list of addresses so SO can see it. I don't do this on purpose, or to be manipulative. But it does seem to have the effect of my SO starting to behave himself for a while. Just the act of looking for my own place reminds both myself and my SO that I am a free person.
Smoke something....not saying

LOL... Thanks for the tips...
LOL... Thanks for the tips... I will manage to get by, as I always do... I'm just soooo disappointed that I had been looking forward to the weekend, thinking it was going to be nice, peaceful, and quiet...and then BAM...it hit me and I realized it was our weekend... Its hard to keep track when they have been with us the last 5 weekends in a row
