So - last night, after work I was feeling awful and rundown...there was a lot of bleeding and cramping. SO made me a yummy spaghetti dinner, he washed bottles and cleaned out the daycare bag, he snuggled and rolled around with our 10 month old on the floor. It was just awesome, I got to relax and lay on the sofa while they played, and that little baby is a Mommy's boy when he's not feeling well...but other than that - that kid only has eyes for his Dad. Two peas in a pod. I got to crawl in my bed at 8:30 and get some REST.

This AM I get up and my belly is feeling nice and relaxed, no bleeding and I can finally breathe. However, SO is quiet and crabby as all get up. We're in the car and the following happens-

ME- SO, when are you picking up Mini-Seahag?

SO- I DON'T TALK TO HER ALL THE TIME! I TOLD YOU THAT!

ME- WTF are you talking about? You told me on Wednesday night that you were going to have her this weekend, why are you flipping out at me?

SO- I told you that I was THINKING about it, then you got an attitude so I figured - screw it.

ME- *crickets* SO, what are you talking about? You told me you were going to have her, I said "OK" and we talked about something else.

SO- Yeah, but I knew what you were thinking. I mention her name and that the three of us will hang out while you're at work and I knew exactly what you thought so I just decided not to bother.

Ok. What the actual f***? The one time I DON'T open my mouth with some snarky, sideways comment...I get in trouble. Are they psychic now, or just psycho? Oh well, he can't ruin my day!

Yes - after I sat with it for a few days, I couldn't think of anything other than "my baby" and I didn't mean my little boy, so I guess I was just scared. Now I have a new reason to be scared, but I am feeling better and the dr is keeping a close watch...so I can relax a bit.

He was so edgy! I had to laugh at him, which only made him more grouchy, but wow!

The first thing I did was walk out of work, sit in my car, and call my mom. I hadn't even told SO at that point. Sometimes you just need your mom, no matter how old you are. And the leaning that I've done on her since I've found out...tipped the scales as well.

Very true! I don't think he has the energy for "daddy daddy daddy daaaaadddeeeeeeyyy" in addition to our 10 mth old. The Mini-Seahag is a handful and he doesn't like to admit it.
