What to do?

Ok according to the legal agreement that has been in place for 4 years we get one visit a month (because they live so far away it would be more if they where closer) and every other Easter and Christmas. So we got my sd for a weekish from the 24th of March to the 30th of March. The thing is; this is our Easter and the long weekend is 4 days after she is back to school. I think her mother set this up on purpose. The last thing I want is for her to miss school, so what would and alternate choice be? I feel like we are being ripped off. Any opinions?

My son's school is like that, too... they have Good Friday off, but their spring break doesn't start until the week of the 16th. Makes more sense to me to have spring break start on Easter Monday. Maybe she didn't "plan" it, it's just the way it worked out. God knows I certainly don't plan that far in advance! Wink I don't know. No, you don't want her to miss school. What are your choices? Getting her for the Easter holiday or getting her for the long weekend? I would probably choose trading Easter for the long weekend, if her mom would agree. Do you get two visits in April, one for Easter and one for the regular, monthly visit? Maybe you could get both. (Yeah, I know... I'm living in a dream world. It's never that easy.)

It's so hard when you're the visiting parent, especially when you live far away. That's how it's been for us. We're at the point now that we're grateful for ANY time, let alone the amount we're supposed to get. Whatever happens, just don't let it ruin your Easter. Have a great holiday and enjoy a little peace for your family!
