And the stirring has started in steplife world. SD15 has not been over since we saw her briefly on Thanksgiving. Well this weekend coming is her weekend to come so we shall see! I know for sure she will be over on Christmas Eve to collect her gifts ( DH family celebrates Christmas on Christmas Eve) and of course BM has already made plans for SD to grace us with her presence on Christmas Eve . She text DH saying " we are celebrating Christmas on Christmas Day this year because SD was stressed last year , so she will stay with you the whole night and I will get her back the next day" I guess BM family also celebrated Christmas on Christmas Eve and it was a lot of driving and back and forth . BUt what BM doesn't realize is I do not celebrate Christmas on Christmas Eve, I celebrate it on Christmas Day. And we will be changing it next year and no longer doing it on Christmas Eve because it's crazy that we also have to load up all 4 kiddos and drive far to someone's house and stay until 1 am, rush home and get the kids in bed and I still have to get the gifts and everything ready for Christmas morning . So yea it's not working for me and my in laws have already expressed their dislike for us to change it but OH well! They can still have their celebration on Christmas Eve and we will see them on Christmas Day. Also if SD is going to stay the night and be with us Christmas morning then she might feel a bit left out because since SD 15 has not stayed with us for awhile I have already opted out of doing all her x MAs shopping and making sure her stocking is full ( SD only comes over for her b day sometimes) I got her gift card which I plan to give her x MAs Eve and that is it! So while our kids are opening their gifts on Christmas morning I'm sure SD and BM will find a way to guilt DH, as I'm sure SD will report back to BM per usual . This will be interesting. Next year will be interesting as well lol. Don't you just love the holidays
