How does this all work?

Smile Hi everyone. I am new to this site (SM to SD12) and have been looking around. I came across it while googling specific terms/complaints, relevant to my situation and to my surprise, have come across some very interesting, sometimes comical yet similar entries to my own. If anyone has time would you mind giving me a few pointers on how things work on here. I do not have any relationships as 1, I don't know anyone on here, and 2, my husband would die if he even suspected I have as many issues as I do with his beloved child so...right now all I'm doing is looking around for people with similar situations. Thank you in advance.

I read your bio - like you I had 2 bio kids (now adults) and have 2 teenage SDs that we get every other weekend, that I don't get on with.
A lot of people found this site because they either have no friends with SKIDs, or they googled "I hate my step daughter" or similar.
I'm sure you'll fit right in. Do tell us a little more of your situation, if you feel inclined.

Well there's a blog where you can write out your thoughts and feelings or questions - these are usually longer than a 'forum topic'. A forum is supposed to illicit discussion but often time, blogs do too. There are a ton of abbreviations. I would do a search for them. A few to know-

BM- Birth Mom
DH/DW - Dear Husband / Dear Wife
SD6/SS8- would be SD age 6 or SS age 8.
CS- Child support
NCP- Non custodial Parent
OSD, YSD, MSD - Oldest, Yougest, Middle Step Daughter in this case. Works for YSS, OSS, and MSS too.
SO - I use this one - significant other
DS4/DD6 - Birth children with their age.. also done as BS2/BD9
CREW - When we expect someone is f#$%ing with us using a crazy story to get attention or to get us all up in arms. It's a verb as in 'we are being crewed'.
OT - Typically in a blog or forum title - stands for 'Off Topic' as in not pertaining to step kids.
