Surprised!

I went to watch SD13's volleyball game this week. I was dreading going because SD13 and I don't get along, but I want to support her doing anything that resembles exercise. She has already lost 25lbs since August. I was concerned about it being so drastic, but doctor said it was fine. Anyways, back to my story. I got to the volleyball game early and was watching them warm up. One of the girls on the team, being a smart ass spiked the ball in my direction as I was feeding my two month old daughter. I blocked it from hitting my daughter with my hand. The girl laughed because she thought it was funny that she almost hit a baby. SD13 came unglued and charged across the gym, pushed the girl to the floor and started hitting her and yelling at her for almost hitting her little sister. SD13 is a very quiet, shy and timid person normally. I have never seen her like that. Also SD13 had never claimed that my daughter is her sister, she has always been "my step mom's baby." Although SD13 is suspended from school for three days, and she is off the volleyball team, and her dad grounded her, I am quite proud of her.

something like...

"although its never okay to hit someone....if your your baby sister was old enough to understand, would be so proud that her big sister stood up for her"........

and leave it at that.....

Man, too bad she got in so much trouble for something you're proud of her for! Did you tell her YOU were at least proud of her?
