Ok, so on Tuesday Petunia was bugging me to take her to a party supplies store because she has a friend who shares her birthday and they apparently agreed to decorate each other's lockers at school next week. But, she also wanted to go shopping for her birthday - I did not want to take her, for several reasons:

1. let's not forget the last time I took her shopping where I got in trouble with Prince Charming for letting her walk out of the store with 4 inch heels, never mind that she almost had a temper tantrum in the store because I had warned her Prince Charming would not approve.

2. I really did not want to spend my evening with her shopping, after having worked all day, getting home to feed, help with homework, and bathe my other children. I was tired - VERY tired, and simply did not want to go anywhere.

3. why should I? she did not deserve it in my eyes...

so, she devised a plan to get me to take her shopping. She called her dad and told him that I said I was taking her - this was yesterday by the way. I said no, I did not say that and in fact, I would really prefer not to - I used the "I am tired and PMSing" excuse, which I was . When I go to pick her up after I got out of work, she says to me that HER DAD SAID that I was taking her. WHAT?!?!? WHICH IS IT??? So again, I said no, knowing she tried to play us both, for her dad to take her.

I knew she was not liking this one bit because for one, he would take her to the dollar store to get what she needed, and for two, he was NOT taking her to buy clothes afterwards like she wanted.

And sure enough, Prince Charming took Petunia to the dollar store and came right back home afterwards. Meanwhile, I stayed home with my other young'ns and savored every minute of it.
