SD12 Caught Red-Handed......

FMSL's picture

BUT, I'm the only one who sees it....of course! For no other reason than, I'M THE SM.

This is the SD12 who, over the past 7 years has done the following (List is not all-inclusive):

-- Stole my iPad (which I had hidden so she spent a lot of time looking for it)
-- Woke up before everyone else, searched the house, and found/took Halloween candy that was meant for Trick-or-Treaters
-- Hid her report card from DH for months because it had an F that DH had addressed with her over and over. Then, somehow convinced her teachers that her dad couldn't sign and return the report card. I found it though.
-- "Accidentally" leaves notes around the house that say lovely things like, "Mother-Foucker," "Fk you dad, Go Fk Yourself," and "My dream is to go live with my real mom." Yep, the BM who abandoned her lol.
-- Sprains the very little tip of her finger and requires a full arm cast. Plays the "hurt finger" pity party BS for months.
-- Is mean to BD5 when SD thinks no one is listening, but the moment she hears DH nearby, SD starts talking in a Mary Poppins voice to BD.
-- Takes random things from the kitchen. My shit is always going missing.

Soooooo, I feel the need to keep a close eye on this one. When she recently hid her backpack, I decided to look in it while she was in the bathroom. I find one of my Tupperware bowels with lid sealed. I dared to open it, only to be completely blown away by the damn stench! I have NO idea what was in there. I just let it go and didn't say a word.

Well, today, I was looking for a square Tupperware bowel. What do I find in my kitchen cupboard?? NOTHING. No bowels. They are all gone. I know for a fact I used to have 4 clear ones and 4 blue ones. They are all gone.

But, you can bet I will NOT say a word to DH because last time I mentioned, "Things really seem to go missing around here a lot," I got a complete earful about how I am such an A-hole for having so many "Conspiracy Theories" about SD.

I, myself, like Tupperware but I can't imagine what a 12 year old needs with all of your Tupperware bowls.

Surely you can outwit a little fucktard 12 year old? You have the ability to make her life MISERABLE beyond belief - also out of the eyes of your equally fucktard DH.

No you will not win the "You can't convince my Daaaaadeeeee that I ever do anything wrong" conflict so quit trying. Let him go on to think she is his perfect little princess.

Meanwhile - go for it. You can make her rue the day she was born. }:) }:) }:)

But that's not really your goal. You just want her to quit being a shit to you and yours. She might just actually learn the concept of consequences.

But remember - deny, deny, deny.

Well my SD used to do this same shit. She'd get a bug up her ass about taking her lunch to school. She'd use my Tupperware bowls and then of course they would disappear or end up in her room (uncleaned of course)growing mold like some unearthly science project.

So I turned on passive aggressive bitch mode.... Go out and purchase new Tupperware bowls, but don't let DH or SD see that you did. Hide said Tupperware bowls strategically (usually up high somewhere or down low somewhere because men and teenagers are too lazy to look for anything that is not eye level) Eventually SD or DH are going to need a bowl for something. Obviously they won't find any and the question will be posed.. "Do we have any Tupperware bowls around here?" Smile sweetly and say "Ya know, I haven't seen any in quite some time, I honestly have no idea where in the world they could have gone?" and casually walk away to the anything more important that you have to do.

I know, I know it sucks to have to hide shit in your own home, but I learned my sanity was well worth the hassle!

Oh and does your DH ever go in SD room? That was the best part. DH would get pissed when SD room would get gravely pig styish and he'd go in there and start routing around. Then he'd find the missing bowls, cups, forks, etc. But that's the key word.. HE would find them, not the wicked SM who just hates skids.

... and hmmm I'm shocked she could actually get the lid off of a Tupperware bowl with her horribly disfigured hand and all?? Blum 3

OMG....you have a clever little Stepbrat!  lol.  I, too, have a manipulative little SD6, who lies, steals, etc.  DH and I fought about it the past year and half.  It has finally gotten a little better recently when I quit.  Quit checking to make sure she did what she was supposed to or that she did what he asked of her.  NOW, I sit back in amusement.  The only thing missing is the bowl of popcorn for the show.  Just like the other night when he asked her to fold and put her laundry away.  45 minutes later he decided to check and guess what, he caught her quickly picking up a piece of laundry from the basket of clothes and dropping the stuff she was playing with.  He lectured her and decided a discipline *boredom* and then I acted completely surprised when he told me about it.  Hahahaha....

However, he doesn't actually make her follow through with most of it.  And her discipline was to do it the next day after school, eat dinner, shower and go to bed with no fun time downstairs.  So, the manipulative one just stayed in her room until dinner SLOWLY folding all her clothes.  FINISHED folding all said clothes after dinner and put them away just in time for her normal shower.  And yep, she went to bed at her NORMAL time.  Shocking, right?

As an outsider we can see what your SD and mine do and are capable of.  It's just unfortuante that our DH are too blind or don't care to deal with it.  I am sure both your SD and mine will become great adults though when they grow up.....no sarcasm there Wink
