Good thing for filters...do you have one?

DH & skids were sorting laundry...funny we use the term skids because the undies had plenty of them. Anyway its getting warm and the laundry was a bit stinky. DH says have you been using deoderant? SS10 says do I have to? DH says unless you want to be picked on. My thought stopped by filter....more than you already do. Glad my filter worked. Not trying to be mean but the kid does get picked on from his lack of eyebrows to his red hair to his not so charming personality.  I hope he has friends when he gets older. Ugh he is just not a likable kid.

Any fun filter stories...either you wish it had worked or good thing it worked.

Oh yes.  I muzzle the thoughts in my head with regard to SS34 multiple times a week.  I just NEVER mention him.  DH keeps him away so I'm not rocking that boat.

DH will make a comment about how worthless his brother's grown SS (about SS34's age) is and my first thought is "He's no worse that your worthless POS son" (and he's very bad.  But I keep my mouth shut.

I’ve nearly bit my tongue off before...refraining from saying some very obvious truths...

constantly keeping my thoughts to myself over here!

I sort of have a filter, but not much of one when it’s just DH & I. He sees his kids clearly (for now anyways, fingers crossed it stays that way), and I’m typically a good judge of character. He knows if I call the boys out on anything (to him) there’s truth to it.

He sometimes like brushing things off or blaming BM, but I remind him that if he allows crap behaviour, whether BM does or not, then he’s just as bad as her & isnt helping his kids. They’re still young so we’ll see how receptive he is over the years, but knowing me being me, if I need such a massive filter I can’t say anything constructive I’ll need to leave. The resentment would be too much to take!
