If I had a Million Dollars

Chel Bell's picture

I never play the lottery, but for fun last week I did. Did not win a thing of course, but day dreaming about it sure was FUN. My DH and I talked about what we would do with the $$ (while making sure BM did not know about it) DH said it could be all mine so BM would not be entitled to any of it, but I would secretly set aside some $$ for the skids to give to them from time to time when they are "adults" In my day dream, I would help my mom (get her out of debt from my bro's college loan) and give her some to put aside so she would not have to work so hard. I would help my sister by giving her some $$ to put towards a home of her own, so she could move out of her MIL's house w/ her kids. I would have a account set up for my kids, so they would have $$ for college, and my ex would not have to worry about it. I would buy a nice house for my DH & I and our son, here on the Cape, and a motor home to travel in. My son would get the best help, and best education I could find for him. My DH would get his Harley (fun for me too), and I would invest in my BIL, buisness, and help it grow!! My DH and I could also take a "honeymoon" to some place nice. I would also make sure to finish the book I'm writing, and get it published. I would also like to go to the homeless shelter we lived in last year , and make a healthy donation! Wink It would be so wonderful to take care of my kids, and my family, and not have to worry about money, and do some good with it. What would you do, if you had a million dollars???

Well, I'd probably be alone !

Actually, think the dynamics would change here big time!

First I'd pay off all debt. Buy my own little home on the gulf coast (for a second home) buy my oldest son his own truck. Send my youngest son to college. Fix up this old house, hire someone to build my folks a new fence. Send me to college.

Donate to the animal shelter.

And quit worrying about money at all times of the day!

tax free right?

I'd take my family on a great vacation, because I never get to spend enough time with them due to distance, it would be nice to go somewhere wonderful and not have to worry about anything while we're there

I'd pay for a nice wedding with FH sooner rather than later

I'd buy a home for us on the cape next door to Chel Bell Wink

I'd put some in a college fund for SD and baby to be

I'd take the time to have the baby to be NOW rather than wait

I'd pay off all our debts

I'd put the rest in bonds and investments to earn more $$

I always get so disappointed after entertaining these fantasies!

DH has had to give well over 1/2 mil (including divorce settlement, alimony and CS) to his POS ex...and she STILL, to this day, causes nothing but aggravation, stress, and grief.

If money were only the simple solution to making her go away...

over half a mil...gosh i just threw up hearing that...i still cant imagine how u feel. just bc DH is wealthy does NOT mean he shud be financing BMs lifestyle. god i hate the CS system.

if I won I would have some one else that I love claim it so that our $ hungry BM could not touch it. Then I would buy a house right next door to her just to irriate the crap out of here. HEHEHE. She hates me!! lol
