cant keep my spirits up

:jawdrop: my 2 daughters and 3 step kids are nothing alike. I can have a decent conversation with my girls yet with my husbands kids they just stare at me And stutter or say something that doesn't make sense .its hard for them to articulate themselves. My daughters live 8 hours away. And because they would rather live withme and express this to their father he withholds my phone calls because I guess talking to.me makes them talk to him about wanting to be with me. I'm so unhappy and I feel there is not enough help for.my step kids and I feel their father is too apathetic to really do anything positive for their future, even with me because he knows its a problem... I miss my girls so.much, its so frustrating being around my step kids...

Sorry to hear that you are struggling. For clarification, did you voluntarily give custody of your DDs to your XH? If so, why?

As for your Skids, not much to do there but hold them to the same standards you hold your own to and force them to communicate in an age appropriate manner.

Thank-you for your input and positive words. Yes in the summer of 2009 I gave my ex husband custody thinking he would do the right thing or the girls and would beable to Co parent and share time. But I've been paying for it ever since.... I can't take back my decision I had made.
