First Father's Day with new baby

So my sil and I are both married to men with kids. They each have one child. My sil just had her first baby in March. I got her a first mother's day card. We were wondering if it's ok to get my bil a first fathers day card. We both feel that since its his first child with her it's ok. When I have my first baby with my husband I would want to get him one. Appreciate the advice

I personally wouldn't do it. He might not "get it", kwim? He was already a dad, so...yeah...

That would be beyond rude.

If someone did that to me the card would go in the trash.

I wanted to do it to for this year but decided it would have hurt dhs feelings so instead I got him a Elmo fathers day card and put BS hand print on it.
