The Super Secretive Rule Book for Step Kids
I am certain that there is a secret rule book in circulation. "How to be a step child" It contains tips on how to drive your step parent insane. It contains manipulative behavior ideas, how to come in between your "real" parent and that other person he married. Here's how I think it's laid out....
Step Child Mission Statement: We as step children shall make certain that one of us, if not all, are behaving in a manner that irritates the crap out of our step parent in hopes that our actions will drive her away from our real parent so we can have him all to ourselves as the universe revolves around us and this is the way it should be.
Then I think that they have a voo doo doll ceremony, where they all get together with their home made voo doo dolls that represent their super evil step parent.
Next order is to swap ideas. They discuss what seems to be working, and help each other out with new and creative ideas on how to drive your step parent away.
Princess SD4 went to one of these meetings, I just know it.
Yesterday morning I was getting ready for work. I went to put my makeup on, and my eye liner was missing. I put it in the same place every single day. I know where my stuff is. I ask DH if he has seen it. He gives me a confused look as if he knows what eye liner is... okay, so then I ask him if SD4 has been in our room. She's the only one that can't figure out that kids are not allowed in my room or bathroom. Probably because DH lets her go in there when I'm at work... go figure. He says, he doesn't know. He doesn't think so, because he has been locking our door... mmm hmmmm sure.
Anyways, I go into SD4's room. Ask her if she knows where my eye liner is. She shrugs her shoulders. I ask again. She nods yes. I ask her where it is, she points at her back pack. I found my eye liner, along with the twins wallets, SS14's cologne, and a bracelet of mine.
I notify DH, and he shrugged his shoulders. Maybe there is a group for Dad's trying to drive their wives insane too...
