If you do pay attention to the surronding area of their home. Outside their home I should say and every time they go to their neighbors to swim pay attention to the back ground.

If you look in the back ground you will see my dh's work. Yep that's right he works almost across the street from their home. We even had the their oldest over to house once. He was very nice and he LOVED living with his family. He also loved having one big room with his brothers.

If you haven't guessed we live near them and I pass their house every time i pick up dh from work. there is usually a cop sitting below their drive way. Have to watch him. lol
Anyway thought I'd brag a little. lol If i pay attention I might get to see my car pass. lol

I watch them occassionally. I actually appreciate that they provide for their own childrenn through their business ventures (before and since the advent of 18Kids and Counting), the children are raised to be accountable for their own behavior, actions and to care for and have each other's backs, etc....

Now, it they were like Octo-mom expecting other people to pony up to support their prodigous school of spawn... or John and Kate who can not support their brood without a reality show .... my opinion would be very different.

I am happy for them and for their whole family.

I could not do what they do but the more power to them for doing it their way, with their own resources.

I agree with the whole octo mom thing. It makes me so upset my husband works so hard ( he actually has a government job involving citzen safety and border patrol, contract helicopter pilot) and provides for our big family we have 5 children and would like one more. My father is a farmer who still works 12 hours a day to support his family. But this chick thought to herself one day I already have some kids I cant afford let me have some more..ugg  So basically us responisble people have to pay for her poor choices, it sucks. Just like BM she only sees SD 6 weeks a year now ( pending order), doesnt pay her child support, doesnt help pay for medical, private school, NOTHING, but brags how she gets away with using her brothers food stamps ( isnt this fraud?) Its frustarting..sorry had to rant..lol.

^^^^^^^ Most wholeheartedly agreed!!!!!!!!!!!

I hope her next child is problem free but she is in her 40's and her plumbing has to be approaching worn out from child birth. I think it is time for she and Jim-Bob to leave the procreation to their older children and help raise the grandkids to be problems for their own parents to deal with. Much like my own parents have done to my brother and I.

I completely agree! I'd never even heard of the show until yesterday at lunch when coworkers were discussing it. I watched about 15 minutes of it last night and thought "this woman is completely brainwashed." My SO looked on for a minute or two and said, "that guys sounds like one of those brainwashing religious fanatics." The whole family is completely warped, IMO.

Whoa didn't mean for it to turn into a debate on them. Blum 3 oops.

I was just saying that we live that close to them and you might get a chance to see my dh working lol\.. Blum 3

Although I do really like them and the way they are raising their kids in terms of deciplain and that they are held accountable for their own actions instead of cuddled.

But like I said we met them and the oldest son has been to our house. They are very respectful and polite and treat others like they should.

Now It is NOT a life style for me as I only had 2 kids for a reason!

Although I do think it is time Michelle stop having kids. But that is MY opinion.

purpledaisies's picture

They still had to raise those kids right to raise the other kids. While you may not agree with it that is fine but they are doing what they believe is right fir their family just like you are doing what you believe is right for you family.

As I said not my life style but who am I to tell them to not do what they think is best by their family?

as long as those kids are not being abused I say leave them alone.

I knew a family that had 24 kids. :jawdrop: I was young and we lived out in the boonies and they were neighbors. That was very interesting! Weird too. They were very wild..
