Three reasons why BM is a piece.

1. Last night we got hit with a huge storm and the tornado sirens were going off. FDH called BM to find out where she was and to see if they were all safe (she lives on 3rd floor of an apt building). She said she had no idea what was going on. He asked her if she could hear the storm and the sirens and she said yeah but she said that she has Direct TV so she doesn't have anything local to check the weather (nevermind she is on her laptop and phone internet allll the time). FDH told her she better take the kids to wherever in their building that is designated storm shelter. She said she didn't know where that was and wasn't about to wake up the skids for a "silly storm". So FDH got kinda pissed and asked her if he could come pick up the skids then (I know that would be stupid too to drive in the storm, but he asked without really thinking first because he was mad, plus she lives only about 10 blocks away), and she goes, "And you'd leave ME here?" Ugh!! So he finally gets off the phone with her after she agrees to tell him that she'll find out where they need to go in her building, and she finally texts him where it is. There wasn't a tornado but tons of damage and power outages all over town. And she didn't want to wake up the kids for a "silly" storm or find out where to go for safety.

2. My coworker ran into their lake cabin neighbor this weekend, who works with BM. She asked her nonchalantly about BM and this lady rolled her eyes. She said that BM gets into trouble almost weekly at work for the things she wears and has actually been asked to go home and change!! Can you imagine!? She works at an office. I guess BM complains and says, "I'm not going to dress like a MOM." and this lady said to her, you ARE a mom! And BM goes, "Well I'm not about to DRESS like one!" She said she wears low cut shirts and tries to wear mini skirts to work that barely cover her backside. Wow....so you'd rather dress/look like a hooker than a "mom"...you have a job where you are asked to wear business-casual attire and you can't figure out how to look professional rather than like a 18 year old going to a club?

3. Today I checked out her Facebook. Someone posted a photo of her from this weekend -- she is passed out on a couch and her "friends" drew all over her face with marker. Seriously BM, are you 18?????? Lord help SD6.

I was just thinking this the other day about all the pictures I have been seeing on Facebook recently of old high school friends of mine and such who I know have kids, who are posting pictures of themselves out partying, drinking, at the beach without their kids etc. And it's not just on a holiday weekend, it's all the time. I guess maybe I shouldn't throw stones, but sheesh, maybe it's their EOWE with out their kids or who knows?? It just makes me kind of sad. Or maybe I'm just the boring "Mom" who posts pics of me and BS1 doing stuff.

As far as #2...I do, take great pride on my hair, clothes, makeup etc. Certainly don't dress like a skank, but refuse to let my "sense of fashion" go just becuase I had a baby. Heck I had 3 inch heel boots on at a Christmas party the night before I went into labor (classy boots of course... don't be picturing over the knee hooker boots please! ) Wink

I totally agree with you that your sense of fashion shouldn't go out the window! But if you have a job that requires you to dress professionally, you should probably do just that. I would think if she's getting reprimanded and SENT HOME for her inappropriateness it's gotta be pretty bad?

Ugh yours is certainly a piece, too. I know I could go on but my 3-bullet list is just stuff from this weekend! Smile
