feeling like you come in second or 3rd as of importance

Sad Does anyone every feel like there step child is more important then themsleves. Children are important and there step parents should feel equally loved and as important. How do any one feel about that. I always felt like my step comes first even before the daughter I share with my husband.

I'm sorry. yes it happens all the time. Should you feel just as important, yes. Does it happen, no.

I have had talk after talk with SO. He gets it, its maintaining that is hard. He tries, so I stay as long as I see some improvement. I have to keep on him though.

It sucks. I'm really sorry you feel so left out. Its such a crappy feeling.
