Well I have been on and off this for months now and I have to say, it really makes me appreciate and feel pretty lucky with my situation. Everyones story is different but we all have one thing in common...being a step parent. A little about my life, I am not a step parent yet however will be in the near future. I have an incredible boyfriend who has a wonderful four year old son. He and I were only friends when his son was born and long story short he and bm were no longer together at that point. I have been in his sons life since he was an infant and seriously for the past two years. BM does not like me, I have tried and tried but no matter what I do, it doesn't change. It is what it is and I really think it can only get better with time. SS is the other love of my life, there is nothing more that I look forward to then the days we get to spend time with him. Those days are what drive me to be a better person and work harder in life. And the best part about it is the little guy loves me. The way he holds my hand, or asks for help, or tells me hes gonna miss me, those are just a few of things that remind me why I dealt and continue to deal with the drama. I have to say I am pretty lucky and happy with the choices I have made.
