and catch up on these blogs that I clearly have been missing.

But first....
My DH is going to be in deep shit if this weekend sucks! It is our one year anniversary on the 4th. I don't expect anything fancy but if I don't get to see some fireworks...shit is going to get real! He has expressed to me that he does not want to be on the roads this weekend and I can understand that. There will be cops everywhere and no one wants or needs a DUI. Tomorrow there will be fireworks at the little downtown area here. The inlaws have offered to give us a ride there. I would rather be shot in the foot. They are nice people and it was very nice of them to offer but they are SO miserable! DH said we could just ride with them then ditch them after we get there. That's not the right thing to do but if he's ok with it...I am too I suppose. Then Saturday fireworks are set off over the lake. We have a boat and I would like to be out there to see them. DH said, "Whatever we do. It will be nice because it will be just you and me. Even if I just grill out at the house for you." WTF??? Ummmmm no I don't think so. I don't want to sit at the fucking house ALL DAY on the 4th of July! A friend of mine has rented a condo right on the lake and offered us a place to stay. DH doesn't want to do that. While I understand we can't exactly get freak nasty (not that he does anyway) while we are staying with our friends...it was a nice offer of a free place to stay and we wouldn't have to drive OR go get the boat. I told him that if we weren't going to stay with them, then I at least would like for him to go pick up the boat so that we could be on the water to see the show. I don't really think that I am asking too much. I really hope he doesn't make me sit in the house all day and then expect a steak on the grill to suffice for our FIRST anniversary!
