They are home from the market :)

I can tell DH is still mad at me. Has barely looked at me since walking in the door. That's fine with me Smile

I could hear SD16's screechy voice from the driveway. Apparently she used her own money while there. She bought 9 apple fritters and ate them all. Now she feels sick.

BUT....

She bought DH and I matching leather necklaces with 'Peace' on mine and 'Harmony' on his. Very sweet..and very ironic.

Dh is now muttering about me leaving in a few hours to babysit. I have just accepted that I am evil this weekend and he is being forced to spend time with his daughter without me.

She has not stopped talking since she walked in the door. She feels everything she says is funny and has to laugh after each thing she says.

"My feet at cold" *screech/laugh*
"My stomach hurts" *screech/laugh*
"OMG DAAADDDYYYYYY!!!! My BFF has a new boyfriend" *screech/laugh*

I am sitting here at the dining room table 'doing homework' and he is glancing over at me in hopes I will jump into the conversation and rescue him. Not a freakin' chance. This child never stops talking and it has always been me to finally tell her 'SD16!! Please take a breath!!' Watching tv is impossible with her...and I can already see him getting tense. Funny how she has not brought up her report card yet.

I'm just going to ride this one out.

So glad that DH was able to brave taking his dd to the market without you. Can't believe the drama a grown man is making out of his spending a few hours with HIS kid without you to rescue him (or pay for everything). What a douchebag. Good thing you are leaving to babysit so you don't have to deal with it.

Stick to your guns! Maybe you'll hear the ~POP~ of DH's heading coming out of his arse (in between her incessant chattering) when he realizes what a champ he's got.

It is pitiful. He will never admit he has no idea how to talk to her. His idea of parenting is the two of them laying on the couches watching tv for 14 hours a day, eating till they feel sick. Today alone she had breakfast at BM's, then NINE apple fritters at the market, two huge bowls of pasta and now is about to polish off a fruit tray. The whole time she is complaining of an upset stomach. Does DH tell her to stop eating? Hell no! She's quiet for a couple seconds while shovelling it down!

It's like the really bad laugh tracks on those Disney shows my kids watch . There is laughter after everything that is said. Funny or not . It drives me nutso

That's EXACTLY what's it's like No Wire! LOL! If she's not laughing, she's eating or watching the tv and saying 'That's SOOOOO me!!!' to everything on the screen.

I give it another 30 minutes before DH snaps on her. She is talking through one of his shows and asking him what everything means.

How do you cope? I would need to sprinkle Xanax on my cheerios & vodka every morning just to tolerate that girl.
