Entering the Amusement Park of Step Parenting

Step kids have been here all week, can you tell?

I think many of us can agree that dealing with Disney dads, step kids and crazy bio parents is sometimes like entering a carnival or circus. First you have to pay the admission but you've got to pay extra for the rides, Disney dad says it's ok, his angel is worth it and then Bio mom starts screaming that she will buy step kids double the ride tickets if they promise to like her better.

Then you get dragged over to the games, the first one is knock over the pile of dishes step kid never washed with a ball the other is navigating the way through a virtual messy bedroom maze step kid created.

Then there's always the guessing game of which step kid is telling the truth about leaving crap on the toilet seat. Onward to the rides, my favorite is the rollercoaster generated to swing you around like a step pre teens mood. Then there's the race cars where you have to get to bio moms house on time because step kid made you late again. Even if you win this game you get a plush toy of the holier than though bio parent shaking her first at you.

You have to then go to the food where you can choose from the food you cook booth or the crap the bios feed their kids. Disney dad says let them pick because it's supposed to be a fun time! The last choice is the booth of food step kid refuses to eat or throws away.

You're not shocked that it has the most food. The last is the survey you get to fill out, you put all negative things on it because step kid hated it all and the carnival that bio mom took them to is so much better.
