A Story of a COD Adult
My SO is addicted to collecting skate decks. It's his hobby and he has made a couple thousand in the last couple of months flipping them on EBAY.
He ordered a board from someone on the internet and it turned out the guy (DA from now on) lives in our town. SO and DA meet and become friends. DA has a "business" selling skate decks.
DA also has a wife and 4 children. DA is not good at selling skate decks because he buys them and falls in love with them and won't sell.
DA doesn't have a job nor does his wife. His father gives them money to live on. DA has never had a job and is always talking about get rich scams using daddy's money.
DA had a warehouse that was his "business" where he sold his boards. The first time SO went over there, DA was upset because SO brought me and the warehouse "business" is for boys only. DA is at least 40 if not older....Also, SO says anytime he goes over to the warehouse its DA and a bunch of 20 something's smoking weed.
DA lost the warehouse and is continually crying to SO that he is broke but refusing to let SO help him sell the boards he has because "in 10 years they will be worth more"
I don't care for this guy. He has 4 kids and doesn't have a job. He relies on daddy to pay his and his families way. He behaves like a teenager. In my opinion, his dear daddy has crippled this guy. He's 40 with ZERO job experience. I hope daddy has enough resources to fund DA for his entire life.
I know it's not my life not my problem. I just find it as a clear example of a guilty daddy completely hindering his adult child from growing up and taking responsibility for his own life.
I'm glad SO is too broke to ever behave like this.

It's a wonder any woman
It's a wonder any woman wanted this overgrown teen. Oh, yeah, she's a daddy's girl COD, too, and her dad is funding the other half of their lifestyle.
So since no money is being made, only spent, in the second generation, how are the grandkids going to live one day when grampa's money runs out?
DA's wife has told SO that
DA's wife has told SO that she wishes DA would get a real job.
