Biomomof2's picture

Quick servey.... Are boxers underware??? Is it inappropriate for a married man to buy a married woman who is not his wife boxers for Christmas?? Even pick them out because this woman loves this movie that is on the boxers?? Buys these before he gets his wife's present?!?!

Naw, I didn't argue with him at all. When he showed me what he got a friend of his.. who he has know for 10yrs but rarely talks to anymore as she has become my best friend and is married. She has boundaries. She doesn't buy him stuff, unless she buys for me and my kids as well. He was roommates with her and her now husband. So he is friends with both. They have a kid. And he bought her these boxers, and then went on for 10minutes about how boxers aren't underware, and how he wears them to just lay around in. My response.... Boxers are underware, let's go look in BS underware drawer and see what's there. And you have not worn boxers ever since we have been together. Not once.
I told him he is getting creepy as he buys me underware because "he wants to see them on me". And that is what he picked out for her????
He kept talking and I left the room.
He can try to convince the wall boxers arent underware all he wants. I am not playing that game.

Does he buy you Boxers that really aren't very attractive on a man or woman or does he buy you sexy, little lacy ones?

Biomomof2's picture

No, I dont. I am just floored at DHs logic on this as he tried to convince me there was nothing wrong with this and they aren't underware

So, she's going to wear them out in public over tights, or what?

Biomomof2, between your ex and your current, I just really feel for you.

Ugh. Your right. I wasn't suppose to put 2 and 2 together. He is a champ at getting mad for being caught!!!!!

Ok...thats a funny image. All the Dtzy boys saying yes at once to the great "is boxers underwear debate." lol...thanks for the laugh.

Hahahaha! I am a big time Tom boy, so I like male humor. Hubby really crakes me up at times when he does his gross humor.

Well, now he is just going to give them to YSD. Like that changes the issue. The issue is he bought underware for another woman.

Read the end of the post I just put up. It explains more why doing this for this person hasn't made me mad but questioning again. Not a gag gift. Her favorite movie. On boxers. Nothing bought for her husband or kid. Just her, as usual. I am suppose to just deal with everything he does for her. And this one... Went to far. When he tried to tell me "I wear boxers to just lay around the house" I called his bullshit. I have been with you almost 4 years, not only have I never seen you wear boxers, you don't own any "

This is copied and posted from my full post I just put up.

Oh. I didn't tell you all. You know how I found out about the boxers?!?! DH was rambling, told me he was looking for boxers and underware for DD but decided it was weird. I told him, your deal with underware is weird. You spent 11 hours at back to school shopping time picking out SGDs underware, you have bought BS boxers (yes ladies, boxers are not underware. But he bought BS boxers as underware... Makes sense, right?!???) you bought me underware a couple of months ago because you wanted to see them on me...and now your looking at underware for DD????? Don't. Apparently that seemed like the perfect time to go OH, guess what I got friend. I'll show you. TA DA ... Boxers. For my best friend. Was his friend first. But she is normal. He married, she married and she barely talks to him now. He texts her once in awhile, but otherwise no contact. Deal is... This is the woman he paid $76 in shipping to get her favorite ice cream from Texas shipped while she was pregnant. Buys and has Amazon send her random gifts. I brought up going to a concert last year. Nothing. Texted him that her and I were looking but they were sold out. And bam he found and bought tickets. Next tickets he bought "me" was her favorite group. It got drunk last Christmas (didn't have the kids, they were at BFs) and ended up making the comment to him that I think he has a thing for her.

Whaaaaaaat??? Does she rarely talk to him because he has crossed the line?? He's married; she's married. TO OTHER PEOPLE. Creepy.

Boxers are underwear, and DH should not be giving underwear to another woman. For Heaven's sake, what was he thinking?

I bought my son in law boxers last Christmas. They had this stupid thing all over them and he thought it was funny as hell. My DD didn't get mad, she encouraged me to buy them for him when I thought it was too personal.

I wear boxers all the time to sleep in. Yes, boxers are mens underwear but not many women wear them as underwear. I wear them to clean the house if nothing else is clean.

If they had a funny design on them...like characters from a movie someone likes, I would call it a Gag Gift, man or woman.

DSO and I don't buy for each other, so I don't care if he gets anyone else a gift first (like he would even go shopping to buy gifts in the first place). We make sure to buy for others FIRST, or buy something for the house that we need that we both can use. I went on a trip last weekend out of town, that was my gift and I got him a shirt at the Harley shop so I guess that can be his gift....or DSOs gift can be the fact, I did all the shopping for SD and he didn't have to get out of his recliner.

Whether or not they are underwear (YES) and whether or not it is appropriate (NO), I would be the most pissed about him trying to convince you and even ARGUING with you about whether or not they are underwear/appropriate.

It's like he's pissing on you and trying to convince you it is a nice rain shower!
