The weirdest thing happened this weekend
I still can't make heads or tails of it. You ladies want to give it a shot?
DH took BD8 to see SD21 at her college's "family weekend." DH tells me that he took BD8 and SD21 to a carnival. But here's where it gets weird. Evidently BM paid for the whole thing?! We're talking about a woman who wouldn't buy a damn thing for SD21 because it was DH's responsibility to buy her everything she needed. A woman who tried to get out of paying her half of the orthodontist's bill when SD needed braces. A woman who fought for and successfully got custody of SD at age 15, plus CS from us (when we had custody for four years before that with NO CS), then told SD she had to go without because DH wasn't paying ENOUGH CS.
So of course I flipped a lid thinking DH and BM took SD and MY BD8 to a carnival together, but then DH said BM didn't even go. But she did send her youngest child with SD21 and DH and BD8 to the carnival!
Is this not the weirdest thing ever? DH and BM do NOT have a good relationship, in fact they do not communicate at all and really have not since SD turned 18. Why would BM send her child along with DH AND pay for the whole trip? I just can't even wrap my brain around it.

Weird. so apparently BM was in SD21 college town as well??? And why would your DH even "allow" BM to pay for him and DD? That is weird too IMHO. And why are you finding out 2-3 days AFTER the fact that this happened? I am betting money that DH did NOT tell you, that either your DD told you, or you found out by checking DH phone.
I really dislike your DH. I think he is sneaky as fuck and has the biggest case of double standarditis I have ever seen! Geesh Elizabeth! I don't know how you do it!

He told me about it on the night he and BD8 got home because I like to ask probing questions and I know he won't volunteer information. I have to ask. At first I thought he went to the carnival with BM, but then he said he didn't see BM at all that weekend. SD21 goes to college in the same town both BM and BM's parents live in.

So your DH took a child that isn't even his along for the day? That is so weird. That would be like if our BM and her boyfriend had a child together, then sent it along with SD to our house. Why would anyone do that? That child isn't related to your husband or your daughter. It must have been awkward for them.

I think BD8 is both her husband's and hers. He doesn't mind trying to "bond" SD21 and BD8 for some weird reason; possibly to think they have the same mother and to cut Elizabeth out as a parent? Seems he wants BD to integrate with SD and her side of the family, whilst "dissing" Elizabeth.
