I want to be supportive to my girlfriend. Her daughter is being told that it is wrong for her mom to date, by her father. This is making her disrespectful and down right mean. What can or should I be doing to help.

Considering your other problem of the girl you need to get out of this relationship today.

Regardless of Mom's response, you can set your own boundaries.

"Don't talk to me like that."

"Don't do that."

"Let me help you out: I'm a grownup and I decide for myself what is right for me. Your mom is a grownup and she decides what is right for her."

"I'm glad your dad can share his feelings with you. That's nice."

"Grownup business isn't for little girls."

These are a few of the things you can say, depending on age and circumstances. Mom may be relieved to have an example set for her of how to handle it and pick up where you left off. If Mom does not support you in this, reconsider the relationship.
