Cool kicks & bio mom's lost her cool over it

Bio mom is flipping a bitch! WHY you ask? Well bc we happened upon some awesome shoes for stepson13. A family member is dating a Nike distributor & he had all these shoes, but in a rather small size, as displays usually are... We got him 2 pairs. One pair are $170 shoes & the other $195. Nicer than he's ever had, or will probably ever have until he's a junior in high school, maybe if then.

She's flipping a bitch over it. She hasn't said WHY but since the mention of the shoes she's been freaking out. Child support is $1500 a month, we generally don't buy staples--- bc hello she should be able to cover that, although she still dresses the kids like poo. We do buy clothes at holidays, swimwear & cold weather stuff, etc that doesn't rotate. We have never bought the stepson shoes, though. We didn't buy these, they were displays... But why in God's name would we pass them up, right?! And why the hell would you be mad? One pair is 1/2 a size too big & the other fits a tad big to perfect. AND he hasn't had shoes since the Payless shoes she bought him for back to school wore out & he's been wearing big bros hand-me-downs that are 2 sizes too big.

What a CONTROL FREAK!!! I would be elated if there were shoes in my kids' size or if a miracle happened & their bio dad got them awesome shoes or ANY shoes for that matter. She's just a jealous bitch. Of all the things to be a bitch about.

Oh my God... Call the counselor DAD got son some shoes!!!!!! Grrrrrr.

Wow that is truly a bitch move. As a BM I am happy anytime my BS comes home with something "extra". A GF of my Ex once bought him a pair of sunglasses and I just thought that was the nicest thing. (She's a single mom of 3 kids, so that she spent money on my son, I thought that was nice)

Me too!! My ex has kids thru the school year, I get my kids with duct tape on their shoes & have to make an emergency shoe run. Seriously. I'm not joking. I would be so happy for 2 pairs of awesome shoes! Let alone one pair that he provided.

:jawdrop:

Seriously? As a BM, I'd be ecstatic if my son's father bought him ANYTHING!

It floors me how these BMs, instead of being happy that their kids get nice things from the other parent, are bent that THEY weren't the ones to buy those things. Jeez. Jealous much?

See....right now I'm on a weird end of things.

H is so into showing skid that he's the better parent, that he's throwing money at her right and left right now.

In fact, he just co-signed a used car loan for her. She has no job and even if she did, the payments would be too of her budget. He is making the payments on it and paying her insurance.

This is after SEVERAL discussions with her about responsibility and that if she wants a car she'll have to work for it and earn it.

I see that with my older son. Bio dad says ill do this. I'll do that. All HUGE money things. At first it bothered me. Then I had to accept that is great if he is able to bless him with big items, bc I surely cannot. BUT big surprise... Bio dad NEVER FOLLOWS THRU! So now it bothers me that he says he's going to do all these things & doesn't.

I've let go of wanting to be the provider. & I just want the provisions supplied. Period. I don't care who does it. 99% of the time it's me, although he has them thru the school year & I thru the summer with holidays & weekends. It's a 60/40 spilt we agreed on.

Sounds like my son's dad. At one time he had some "money" (not really, long story there) but he was taking BS to do all this fun stuff- fairs, WWE show, movies, toy stores, eating out, etc and he was just the best dad. And here I was, CP parent, not getting CS, poor, trying to pay the bills to keep our apartment and keep him in the same good school district.

Well now DH doesn't have any of his "money" but he still tells BS he is going to take him to do fun stuff. Oh he is going to put him in karate and boxing. Um okay.. you dont have a car or liscence and are $7500 behind on CS.

They are going to FL for Spring Break (Courtesy of ex MIL) and Ex told BS- I will take you to swim with the dolphins. Okay same thing you said last year. Oh I am going to take you zip lining.

QUIT filling the kids head with stuff that you are NEVER going to do with him. With my Ex that is how he compensates for knowing he is a sucky parent when it comes to CS, money, etc.

And the sad thing is, my BS could care less if his dad took him to do those things are not. He just loves spending TIME with his dad.

Some of these so-called women are so transparent in their jealousy. Why not be happy your son has better shoes than you ever purchased for him?

Bradymom's picture

The stupid thing is... WE DID NOT BUY THEM. Nor would we ever at that price. It is a once in a lifetime thing to have them. Big whoop!

You should just have kept the sneakers so he could wear them when he's at your house. Believe me, I know how much those Jordan's cost and he is lucky to have them. Fuck her, she's jealous cause it just shows her son how she mismanages her CS so badly that her kids never have anything nice. Dumb bitch.
