It's with a heavy heart that we announce the permanent closure of StepTalk.org on August 31st, 2025.

This decision wasn't an easy one. For over twenty years, StepTalk has been a source of support for stepparents around the world! However, over the years, the costs associated with maintaining and upgrading the site to remain secure, meet current standards and maintain availability have become unsustainable.

We are incredibly grateful for your support, contributions and the community you've helped us build. Your engagement has made StepTalk.org a special place and we cherish the memories and connections made here.

We would especially like to thank Aniki for volunteering to be a moderator and for caring so much.

i had a realition hit me like a ton of bricks

Wow I was talking to my friend today whenwe started talking about the DNA test. Then my friend said that my mom should pay for the test b/c she made this mess and should be responsible for what she did. then it hit me I did subconsciously think it would be nice if bio dad helped pay for the test. I automatically thought that he owed me at least that right? Wow how cold not see that my mom is the one that owed me at least that.

What does that say about our secioty? For someone to be wherebi.am and still auto go to dad owes? Yikes at least this opened my eyes.
