BM working hard to ruin vacation
We get the skids from BM tonight and leave early in the morning for a vacation that's been in the works with family for a few years now. It's the first plane trip for all of the kids, and they have been beside themselves with excitement.
DH called to talk to the skids last night, and SD is all aflutter because BM got her a new pet yesterday. This is in addition to the...lemme count...5 other pets they already have. I'm sure they just HAD to get it yesterday so that SD will be upset tonight at the prospect of leaving her brand new baby.
Then late last night, BM texts DH that she's sure SS is getting sick. He's been feeling bad all day and has fever.
This idiot is so insecure she will do anything to ruin the skids' time with their father.
I've been dreading this vacation for a while now, and this crap is really making me feel sick about it.
Why are some BMs so freaking selfish?!?!

The skid will feel bad about
The skid will feel bad about leaving the pet for like 5 minutes .. and then will go back to being excited for the trip.
As for the fever, I completely understand this. When our skids were living out of state, they were scheduled to fly home for Christmas break with DH (per the CO). One week before their flights, BM suddenly stopped all of their allergy and asthma medications. Both kids got very sick and BM took them to the doctor .. trying to have the doc say they were too sick to fly.
Didn't work .. DH called the doc and told him what happened. Doc said kids would be fine and would make full recovery once meds were resumed.

Our BM did this too with the new pet thing. She brought home a kitten (or was it a puppy? I don't remember, she used this trick a few times) THE DAY we were picking up the skids for the first time of them meeting me.
SD cried and cried and cried and said her tummy hurt until we finally gave up and took her back to BM's house....just like BM wanted it.
