Dear Valued Users,
It's with a heavy heart that we announce the permanent closure of StepTalk.org on August 31st, 2025.
This decision wasn't an easy one. For over twenty years, StepTalk has been a source of support for stepparents around the world! However, over the years, the costs associated with maintaining and upgrading the site to remain secure, meet current standards and maintain availability have become unsustainable.
We are incredibly grateful for your support, contributions and the community you've helped us build. Your engagement has made StepTalk.org a special place and we cherish the memories and connections made here.
We would especially like to thank Aniki for volunteering to be a moderator and for caring so much.
Thank you for being a part of our journey and we wish you all the best.
Sincerely,
Dawn and The StepTalk Team

Lol I'm only kidding. Well
Lol I'm only kidding. Well actually I would love to find a home for her. Its an English sparrow that flew into (inside) our car in October 2011. She broke her wing and it didn't heal good so she can't really fly and will get killed if let out into the wild. So this poor little bird lives in a cage in our living room over looking the lake and all the other birdies flying around. I feel bad for her. She is very cute!! No one wants her and DH is sick of her being in the living room. I wish I could find a nice bird sanctuary for her to have lots of room to try to fly but they said there are so many of these birds that she would just be put to sleep
So sorry poor thing. Well at
So sorry poor thing. Well at least she is being taken care of.

She's cute. I feel bad for her being locked in this cage. She was just a baby when she came crashing inside our car. DH makes fun of me when I prepare her food for her!
