Step Fathers of the world - have questions for you!

I have so many questions - I am a step mother to a girl who is 13 and a boy who is 9. My husband has a very close relationship with his daughter but not so much with his son or my daughter - If you could please help me understand and explain in detail what is the diff bewteen a daughter relationship and son - I only have have a daughter of my own. Also please tell me if you have ever had a daughter who was jealous of your wife which was not her mother but her step-mother. I am trying very hard to understand - why my step daughter is so angry but I want some help from the guys out in the world. Views and Opinions!!!! Help me! Wink

he he, I don't think there are too many step dads here. The SD's are jealous and compete with SM's because the dad perpetuates the relationship with said daughter as on the border of a wife/GF. It is weird and sick sometimes. They like being worshipped and fought over - it is good for their huge egos.

Thanks - reading that helped me alot! I mean I do not want them to have a bad relationship due to issues coming from me or from SD or daddy! I want them to be close but she has been so very angry & upset - I don't know how to fix this - The little time they spend together once a month I'm sure is not enough to make her feel loved by her father but when she is in this home - It becomes all about her! I have alot of patience and I know the time will soon come to a end so its not a big worry to me but I am worried for her - I am worried that she hates me and I am worried that her anger is going to cause problems for her in the future. Thanks for helping!
