Dear Valued Users,
It's with a heavy heart that we announce the permanent closure of StepTalk.org on August 31st, 2025.
This decision wasn't an easy one. For over twenty years, StepTalk has been a source of support for stepparents around the world! However, over the years, the costs associated with maintaining and upgrading the site to remain secure, meet current standards and maintain availability have become unsustainable.
We are incredibly grateful for your support, contributions and the community you've helped us build. Your engagement has made StepTalk.org a special place and we cherish the memories and connections made here.
We would especially like to thank Aniki for volunteering to be a moderator and for caring so much.
Thank you for being a part of our journey and we wish you all the best.
Sincerely,
Dawn and The StepTalk Team

I really feel for you and I
I really feel for you and I understand. I always have to "get my mind right" when I know SD is coming. I have been lucky the last two visits, the crazy BM didn't allow her to come. Which doesn't hurt my feelings at all bcuz DH always leaves when SD is here.
OMG, good luck and if u need
OMG, good luck and if u need anything STEPTALK is always here, I feel for u too and I fully understand the feeling!!!
I think I've just worked out
I think I've just worked out why BM is always fobbing off SS9 to other people when it's her 2 weeks with him!!!! He's loud, obnoxious, annoying, and just unpleasant to be around!!! I swear he loves the sound of his own voice!! Unfortunately I don't....I just wish he would turn down the volume by about 10 notches!!
"He's loud, obnoxious,
"He's loud, obnoxious, annoying, and just unpleasant to be around!!!"
Sorry you have to deal with this. I pretty much use the exact same words as you about DH's kid. I like the words abrasive and unlikeable as well. Abrasive to the nerves is what I say and the most unlikeable child ever born.
Haha, that sounds like skid
Haha, that sounds like skid mark's BM. She walks like a linebacker is what I say.
Know how you feel, I always
Know how you feel, I always have to get into the right frame of mind when the steps are here. Not easy at all.
