So we had the final hearing yesterday for DH and BM regarding SS13. The final outcome is that DH continues to have primary custody and BM has every other weekend. Poor thing wanted to make sure that she didn't have to drive the entire hour to our house in the summer time, so she made sure to bring that up in court, stating that meeting at the locked up school is unsafe. (They meet at a public transportation station, for god's sake, but I digress). DH gets so nervous, instead of requesting that BM picks SS up at the public transport station near our home instead of the school, he stated that he wouldn't be able to meet her until at least 7 pm on Friday evenings once he arrived back from work. So that's what they agreed on.

They also both agreed to take him to his sporting events (well, actually BM agreed, as we always take him) when SS is in their care.

I'm still unclear as to whether they will be alternating two weeks on/off during the summer. It doesn't really matter though, because SS13 will start football in January and his practices will be held on three times a week on weekdays with games starting on Saturdays. Something tells me that BM will NOT be willing to drive him to practices in our city 6 times during her two week visits when she complains about gas money all the time and hates having to drive to pick him up. I'm thinking if we stay quiet about summer, she won't push it - but who knows.

We've already decided that we will (again) give her a chance to do what she says she will do (knowing she usually doesn't) and if necessary, we'll take her back to court - maybe even ask for some child support this time.
