kinda bad day with SD
i got off work at 3 today. We took SD 6 to an amusement park yesterday she had alot of fun. We are supposed to go to a water park tomorrow as well. but sd didnt take a nap when she was supposed to, while dh was asleep she made a mess of stuff. So she wasnt allowed to play any video games (kid friendly dont worry lol). She wasn't listening very well to anything dh was saying. We had chicken and usually she likes it but for whatever reason she didnt feel the need to eat it. She had already been in the corner several times today. So after refusing to eat it dh spanked her and told her to eat it. She ate a little bit but refused the rest even after he told her she would get another spanking if she didnt eat it. She didnt eat it so he spanked her again and sent her to bed. I dont know what her deal is. Usually she doesnt have a problem eating what I make. She was probably crying for 20 minutes. Bleh. That's one thing Im not looking forward to when I have my own children lol.
Im kinda scared if she tells BM what hell she is gonna try to raise. Which she has no room to talk because sd told me a few months ago that "when mommy spanks me, it hurts". Not sure when bm spanks her, but dh only does it as a last measure, he hasnt done it in over a year so that's how rare it is.
Other than that, BM has actually been talking to dh peacefully, she called sunday morning and told dh all the words sd needed to be able to sight read before 1st grade (she has to be in summer school later in the summer as well). She has been kinda nosy too. We had sd a week over xmas break as well and she only called once. We have had sd since last friday (technically almost saturday since it was 1145 pm before bm wanted us to go pick up sd!) so 5 days and she has already called twice... She called on tuesday afternoon too after we got back from the amusement park. She kept asking questions that sd couldnt really understand as well. Sd kept telling us what she said/asked and what she should say back (shes not very good on the phone, but seems easily coached, kinda scary...)
hope tomorrow is better with sd because i want us to have a fun day in the sun!

wow. thats kinda low. eventually, she may develope a complex and/or eating disorder from the treatment she got when she didnt eat.
is that a regular thing? what does he do when she is disrespectful?

no its definitely not a regular thing. Like i said its been well over a year and a half if not more that he's done that. She had plenty of chances to eat the food. She was told several times that is what will happen if she didnt eat the food. Usually she goes in the corner if she chooses not to obey but she had been in the corner alot that day. He only uses that measure as a last resort. It doesnt happen very often she is a pretty good kid.
