Slightly OT- suggestions for "happiness"

Last-Wife's picture

At therapy yesterday, my therapist assigned me to do one thing a day for the next month that would be about ME and make ME happy.

Well, hell! I haven't thought about myself in so long, I'm at a loss. I can't think of anything!

If given that "assignment," what would you do?

I would:
1. Go to the tanning bed: I do the bed for 20 minutes and take a nap and then I get out and do the spray on....for some reason, I sleep deeply in that thing

2. Go to the store and get something for me (money is tight-so something small)-a cheap necklace but cute

3. Go to the thrift store and spend the day just looking at the little things, you may be surprised at what you find

4. Scrub the tub and take a long bath with some alcohol or fav drink in hand...your fav music playing

5. Organize YOUR closet...I find the less clutter I have the better I feel AND it takes my mind off the bullshit with him and his Rulers of the Home

6. Sign up for a class....I am working on a college paper as we speak because it will better MYSELF in the future, the more education the better AND see above, takes my mind off HIS BULLSHIT with the CONTROLLERS Smile

I will think of more in a bit

"The pic reminds me of the slaveboy and his queens in this home...it depicts a kid ruling her Big daddy...how sweet! What it doesn't show is the Big Daddy bowing and thanking them for the abuse and begging for more"!

I enjoy taking dance classes and am trying to find time to do yoga - both always help me feel more like 'my real self'. Even if I actually look like a dork, it feels good!!

read:) when SD is here...I always encourage BF to do an activity with her "just them too" and I go into my reading nook in the bedroom and read in blessed silence for an hour or two...grab a glass of wine and some chocolate and kick it up a notch. And when I am in there...it is "do not bother me time."
