Dear Valued Users,
It's with a heavy heart that we announce the permanent closure of StepTalk.org on August 31st, 2025.
This decision wasn't an easy one. For over twenty years, StepTalk has been a source of support for stepparents around the world! However, over the years, the costs associated with maintaining and upgrading the site to remain secure, meet current standards and maintain availability have become unsustainable.
We are incredibly grateful for your support, contributions and the community you've helped us build. Your engagement has made StepTalk.org a special place and we cherish the memories and connections made here.
We would especially like to thank Aniki for volunteering to be a moderator and for caring so much.
Thank you for being a part of our journey and we wish you all the best.
Sincerely,
Dawn and The StepTalk Team

I don't know if it's illegal or not, but it lacks ethics.
It also isn't likely to be admissible in court proceedings... so, really, all it will do is upset you. I wouldn't bother.

I can see this turning into a big mess. The family courts here will look at the needs of each child and maybe that's how the decision will be made. I have been told to not leave as it automatically reduces my rights. I just want my kids to keep their home.

I have shot myself in my own foot haven't I? My worry is if I move out will he then be allowed to stay there till SD is 18. Because with my children in a new home then her needs will be the only ones considered. Hoping the solicitor will make me feel better tomorrow
