Evidently Bm had some work done to her car that cost more than she planned so now she can't afford to drive Puke to meet dh this weekend. Now Puke mentioned to dh a couple days ago that Bm was having car worked on. My thought immediately was that Puke will not be coming cuz something will happen to the car.

Now do I know for a fact that this is untrue? No. But when Puke has mentioned something like she's been sick or something like this has happened, 99% of the time Puke has not come for her visit.

Dh compromised to see Puke and now she conveniently can't come. What does that tell you? Tells me that she just doesn't want to come and finds an excuse so as not to feel too guilty. Of course Bm plays along so she can be the hero and keep her dd at to herself.

It could have my feelings I was projecting while staying straight faced but dh seemed relieved and happy about the news. Things that make you go hmmm....

I see lots of positive reinforcement in dh's future.
