O/T I would love a little girl

3xmom's picture

Off topic here but I thought I'd get some opinions

My husband had two daughters during his first marriage.

In the last 13 years we have had 3 sons. I would love to have a little girl. Any advice on how to conceive to give myself a little advantage to having a girl? Foods, positions, etc. Maybe I should just get a dog lol.

Your only gaurantee would be to adopt. I have a cousin that wanted a little boy. She had 5 girls first. My SIL wanted a little girl, so she had a rd baby 9 years after her 2 boys. They now have 3 sons.

I used the Dr. Shettles method of gender selection when we were TTC. DH has 3 girls and we wanted to try for a boy. It worked! I know the success rate is higher for a boy than a girl (something like 95% vs 88%) because you have to make sure you can predict your ovulation date for the girl, but if your cycle is like clockwork it should work. The book I read is called "How to Choose the Sex of Your Baby" by Dr. Shettles. It goes on to tell you the best positions, the timeframe, foods you should eat to make your baby maker a more girl-sperm friendly environment, etc.
