TGIF! I'm counting down the work hours until I can virtually sprint for the door (5 hours, 10 minutes). The only plan for the weekend is typical introvert style: stay home with DH (also an introvert) and avoid humans like the plague.

I recently discovered beer bread. I'd had it once years ago, but it was a box mix (just add a beer). This recipe is quick and easy (queasy?) and I'm ready to experiment with seasonings and herbs. Maybe even use a fruit beer to make it sweet. Here you go...

Forn Friday

That's right - I'm doing a combination of Friday things. Some coworkers are being PITAs today and I'm in the mood to cook. So...

Forn' is 'food' and 'p0rn' combined. It's Friday at last!! It's a balmy 45 degrees outside, so I decided to treat myself to a bakery goodie and eat it with a mug of hot, strong kahvi (that's 'coffee' for those who don't speak Finn).

The cinnamon rolls LOOKED good... Alas, I was sorely disappointed. Skimpy on the cinnamon/sugar mixture and dry. And by dry I mean that it was so freakin' dry I could probably soak up a quart of milk and not wring it out once.

'Forn' is 'food' and 'p0rn' combined. Food that makes you drool at the mere thought. You eat slooooooowly to savor the flavor. Could be sweet, could be salty, could be savory, could be umami. It's all about the food!
