How Do I Get Out of This

allinall's picture

I work from home and I have kept my SS8 yesterday and today. I don't feel like doing it tomorrow and next week. I feel like I'm being taking advantage of. I have to kick and scream to get my husband to help me with stuff, but it's like he just expects me to do everything for his kid like it's my bio child. I hate to keep bringing up my pregnancy, but I'm hot and uncomfortable and don't feel like babysitting. To me, that is a perk of working from home...being on my own time. Plus I have some errands I need to run and I don't feel like dragging my SS around. I don't feel like an argument with my H, but I really don't feel like being his babysitter. If I say I don't feel up to it, I'm going to have deal with his freaking attitude and I don't need the stress right now. Give me something to say to him to keep the peace ladies. Thanks

I worked from home and can't imagine doing it with kids in the house. It was hard enough with 2 pomeranians. Good luck to you Allinall!

If I don't want to do something, I don't do it..simple as that. If the other person such as SO gives attitude, not my problem. I don't give in because then he knows he can act like a child and give me attitude and Ill give in. I decided I'd rather he be pissy than me. Especially since they aren't my kids.

People don't understand that working from home is STILL WORKING...geez. They think if you work from home, you are really just staying home...It is hard work and many times, we end up working MANY more hours than at the office.

I am sorry, but you need to stand up to your husband and let him know what working from home is just that WORKING from home, not staying at home. He needs to find care for his child because you are WORKING. I would even dare tell him that your boss asked you about it and you are worried about losing the opportunity to work from home if they keep wondering about you taking care of a kid while at home...hmmm...unless of course, you plan to do that with your own child....sigh
