Just recently I bumped into an older woman walking home from the local grocery store stuggling with several bags. I had a pull behind cart & offered to help her home with them. I've lived in this area for 12 years now, but the residential areas are so snakey that I steer clear of them if I can. I asked her where we were going, & when she told me I couldn't quite place it. Well it was just 2 blocks from my house. So I was left shaking my head & laughing at myself.

I tell my husband about my stupidity, telling him about the whole thing including the street name. Now he pipes up about the time I gave him shit about not knowing where that street was before. I asked him what the hell he's talking about. So he goes on about how I told him to stop & pick up something that I bought from a garage sale. This is where I started laughing, I called him an idiot, & pointed out that that was an incident from his first marriage. He had such a good laugh about it. I guess in the mind of my husband it was just an experience of catching hell from a wife. He just connected to wrong one.
