Flare Ups

Sweetie's picture

Well, I am looking at my hands again, and my body is starting to quit on me again. I am getting another active flare up of dermatitis going on both hands again. It never quite completely cleared up, and just basically relapsed and started again. The hot climate here hasn't helped. It has been well into the 90's all week and will remain so indefinitely. I was finally able to get white cotton gloves ordered for my hands and they should be delivered today. It took me quite some time to locate them and get them ordered.
I've been playing around with the dogs more....they are quite funny at times. Bullet just loves to play ball but is intent on taking everything under the deck. So, I am trying to work on some obedience training with him a little bit each afternoon. We couldn't get this kind of training done when he was approaching the appropriate age, as his leg was broken. And these days, he has the energy of a powerhorse! My husband is supposed to help watch him for a while each evening but what I have found is that he has crated the dog because he can't control him. So, I have had to go and let the dog back out of his crate and put him on a lead, and then sit him with me so he can have supervised playtime. My husband has now done this two nights in a row, so I am wondering what gives. Last night he was installing his new DVD/VCR recorder. Had I know he was going to crate the dog, I would have just taken the puppy with me upstairs to the office to play with some of his toys. Because for some reason, when my husband has to manage with all 3 dogs, it's like the end of the world. But I do it, all day long. By myself. From 5 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Yesterday I was able to achieve quite a bit and cleaned out the larger crate. I removed the old bedding and tossed out the unusable stuff. I had purchased 3 discontinued comforters at a discoount store for $20 each. So, I was busy cleaning and washing laundry. But it all looked much nicer when it was completed. However, I was beat. Then I started switching out area rugs as well. As a result, I've been a busy cleaning fool for the last few days. Today I have a couple of errands to run--banking and then to a garden shop to get a couple of vegetable plants to put into patio pots. I also am planning on starting on some crafts for Christmas ornaments and gifts. And I think I'll do some baking as well to drop it off at a friend's office tomorrow. I am thinking of making another pan of lasagna for dinner this week. It worked out really well last week; the only thing is my husband is getting a bit spoiled with me making more stuff from scratch since I am home. Smile I don't mind if I can use my hand, but when the dermatitis starts getting band, I'm just toast. I have another month before I go to the rheumatologist now. My primary doctor still believes that the dermatitis symptoms are still associated with the joint connective tissue disease--figure out what I have.
I hope that everyone is doing well....I am still following along to see how the rest of you are doing.
Take care.
Regards,
Sweetie

Hey white gloves, it makes you think of a classier time. If you could get the white gloves & a sun parasol back in fasion that would be great. Thinking about it, men treat women who dress more lady like so much better. Isn't that crazy.

I hope your physician finds something to ease your discomfort soon. Take care of yourself.
