DH was driving me crazy last night

Report cards came home yesterday. SS has been with us for about 6 weeks and has brought his grades up from all D's and F's to C's and B's.

This means that he is no longer grounded from video games. Ok, great. Skids have a computer for games in SD's room and SS has a 32in flat screen TV with an Xbox One with Xbox Live in his room. Guess what system he played. DH's computer in DH's room. I was confused by this so DH explained to me that he is letting SS play his computer but the kids computer is getting old. Then he says, "If he keeps up the good grades, I'm going to buy him a new computer". I laughed

DH: Did you just laugh
ME: Yeah, we are broke. How are you going to buy SS a computer
DH: Well, I didn't mean I was going to buy it today.

The way we do things after work is DH sits in his room in front of the computer, while I cook and help SS with his homework. The living room TV is mine during that time. SS is on DH's computer so DH is giving me a hard time about what's on the TV. I started getting a little mad so he backed off. But it really annoyed me. YOU let SS take over your area. You don't get my area.

Then SS tells us about a birthday party he was invited to. DH is more excited about it than SS. I remind DH that the party is during BM's weekend. He says "Well, I guess she isn't getting him that weekend" I told him NOPE. I'm not giving up my kid free time for a birthday party. Think again. He started back tracking saying maybe BM's husband can take SS (because he knows BM will never do it).

Not really big, but it seems like all night there was a little annoying gnat in my ear. At one point I was in the kitchen thinking me and the skids need a break from DH. LOL

So, DH is more excited about it than SS? Perhaps SS isn't all that keen on going to the party.

One positive thing I have to say about BioHo (it burns, it burns!!!) is that driving a skid to skid activities is the responsibility of whichever parent has the skid.

SS wants to go but when I told him it was on BM's weekend, he just said, Oh. Because he knows BM does NOTHING for her kids.

So if DH is so excited and wants him to go that bad, then he can go to BM's pick skid up, take him to the party and then return him to BMs afterwards. No need to punish you on a skid free weekend! Wink

Yep. If BM will allow it... That doesn't work with BioHo. If she isn't driving, no way in hell will she allow DH to pick up skids and drive them anywhere. 'Ho is a major control freak.

Hopefully DH's room is not your room as well, cause no bloody child will sit in my room and entertain themselves, no way

No. When we bought the new house, one of my must haves was a 4 bedroom so that DH could have his own space for his computer and other crap. I was sick of my bedroom looking like a garbage heap. We still sleep in the same room, but now he has a space for all his junk.
