Update: Dealing with child services...

I have a bit of an update on our situation dealing with child services. It turns out that the report was against us. SD6 went home and told her mom that FDH had pushed her and hurt her shoulder. I guess her shoulder was hurting badly enough that BM took her to the doctor for it (this is coming from SD of course since BM would never tell us she took SD to the doctor). Child services spoke with SD and called my fiance earlier this week. They told him that SD had come out and said that the "push" had happened while playing. They asked to set up a meeting with FDH still (he did tell FDH it wasn't necessary for SD or I to be home), but that he anticipated that he wouldn't investigate the charges any more since it sounded like an accident.

What actually happened? FDH asked SD when she felt like he had pushed her, and she told him that it happened while they were dancing. SD likes to pull up kids songs on Youtube and dance in front of the tv, particularly when she can get my fiance or I to join in for the cha cha slide lol. FDH bumped into her when they were dancing which is what she is saying is him pushing her. It was obviously an accident that she got hurt but, there was no way to know she even got hurt. No tears, no complaining of pain. She didn't even tell us that he'd hurt her...She told him she didn't want to tell us. My fiance explained to her last night that it was an accident and that she needed to tell us when she was hurt or we couldn't make sure she was okay. Neither of us were really sure what else to do/say...

CPS will be at our house later today, though I don't anticipate anything happening from that based of FDH's phone call. Now to get over the feeling that I have to walk on eggshells in our own home when she's there....For the first time since my fiance and I have been together, I practically hid in my room for a phone call with my mom for the half hour she was there yesterday because I just don't feel comfortable...Sad, right? I just worry what stupid little things we are going to have to worry about happening now that this has come up...

What a waste of CPS' time. And state funds. Everyone wonders why CPS and DCFS have children that fall through the cracks that actually ARE in dangerous situations and end up having tragic endings. Well here is a good example. The system being bogged down with bullsh!t complaints like this. Makes me angry because they breezed through the last case that BM had on her, with the drug accusations, which were CLEARLY truth. Putting MY SS in a dangerous situation. They just treated it like it was nothing and moved on to the next.

If I were you, I would make sure that I'm never alone with SD6. BM has shown that she's willing to use her kid as a weapon, so be very, VERY careful.
