Anyone know a good shrink (for me-SM) in north Atlanta???

I need to talk to someone who can help!! Last month me and SD started going to the same counselor. We plan to have appts individually and together. I don't know if this is best for us. I need someone who can really help me deal with my resentments and frustrations!!
What is your dh's involvement in this?
I would rather be hated for who I am, then loved for who I am not.
I read on another post that sd mother has passed away. For a 10 year old, this can be very traumatic. No matter what relationship she had with her biomother, no matter what kind of mother her biomother was, in the end that was her mother and children have the uncanny ability to love unconditionally. Your dh really should be involved in the counseling that sd is recieving, as well as family counseling for the entire family. Of course she is going to have issues with you. Often when a child is abandonded or a parent dies, they romanticize the way it used to be with them, they blame themselves in other ways, and they feel they are being disloyal to the parent that is gone. These emotions she is feeling will show in anger, disrespect, depression, ect. You are in for a rollercoaster ride, but it can be done if you and dh do this together. I live outside of Atlanta as well. I cannot suggest any particular counselor, however, there are many good ones in the North Atl. area. Good Luck.
