I was thinking of taking my kids, ages 14,11,and 9 to carowinds for the day..my fiance has a 5 yr old but she has to stay in the kiddie park, whereas all of mine are old enough to ride all the big rides..how do i explain to him that she is too young to go on this trip? he would have to ride with her on all the kiddie rides if she went and he's not small enough to fit on them and i dont see where me or any of my kids should have to spend all day at the kiddie park while we're there..please help me figure a way to tell my fiance to leave his child with her mother that day!!

Tell him that this trip is for the older kids and you and he can take the 5 year old in a few weeks all by herself.

Simply say "She's too young to ride the big rides. It will be better for her to stay with her grandma. Otherwise, your whole day will be spent separately from the rest of us because she will have to stay in the kiddie area."
