i feel like the substitute. the marriage didn't work. so he picked me as a replacement. she couldn't be a mother. so he picked me as a replacement. i am feeling so second-choice these days...

There's an older book entitled "Second Wife, Second Best" It still has some good insight. Wish I had read it BEFORE I got married!

I've felt like a consolation prize myself.

I guess my question might be is how do you see it? Are you second best? Second choice?

The way I view it is that even if he actually did think the way you think he is? Doesn't make it true. You deserve so mcuh more then that. It's hard to admit that sometimes.
