I live an hour away from where I commute. I called in a refill for my insulin this morning (Type 1, insulin dependent).

At 3:53 p.m. - 7 minutes before I am done with work and going home for the weekend, the pharmacy calls to say my doctor is DENYING my refill until I go see him!!!

OK, I can understand him wanting me to make an appointment but now I am going to run out of insulin over the weekend (unless I don't eat)...!!!!!!!!!!

What about "First do no harm"????????????

I guess I will have to be admitted to ICU this weekend if I am not careful...*sigh*
