OT - Friday Fall Fun

Aniki-Moderator's picture

Happy Friday, STalkers! The weekend begins in a few short hours. Woo hoo!!!

My neck of the woods is in for cool, rainy weather. But (IMO) there's nothing like rain to make the Fall colors look positively vibrant! I'm so happy that the heat of Summer is behind us. Let's have a litte Fall Fun!

What do you like about Summer changing to Fall?

What is your favorite hot/cold Fall drink?

Is there anything special you cook or bake?

Outdoor activities you and your other half do?

What is something you've always wanted to do?

Hope you have a wonderful weekend!
Aniki

What do you like about Summer changing to Fall?
The smell. You can literally SMELL Fall. It’s the only time when things are dying/decaying smell good!

What is your favorite hot/cold Fall drink?
Apple cider – cold with popcorn or hot for sipping

Is there anything special you cook or bake?
I’m picking apples like crazy and make a Finnish apple cake. I have an apple bread recipe I want to try. On rare occasion, I make Apple Bacon Tarts. Since the weather is finally cook: stews, pot roast, and Beef Burgundy, roast chicken… anything that cooks a long time and perfumes the house. One of these days, I’m going to try my hand at making bread.

Outdoor activities you and your other half do?
Hike – especially around waterfalls. The weather is ideal: I don’t sweat profusely, but can take off my shoes and dip my hot feet in coooool water.

What is something you've always wanted to do?
Ride the ski lift to view the Fall colors.

at Universal tomorrow night with my Dd14 and my twin sisters.  Then in a few weeks I am taking my kids to the Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween trick or treating at Disney.  I won tickets to a local haunted corn maze so we will be doing that as well.

I my house decorated for Halloween . I did a Haunted Mansion theme with the stretching portraits

Is it scary? I remember when Haunted Houses were actually scary!

I have never heard of stretching portraits.

What do you like about Summer changing to Fall? - I love the fall colors, they’re warm and vibrant. I love when the leaves fall from the trees. The weather is cooler and I can wear my cozy pjs and socks at home all the time.

What is your favorite hot/cold Fall drink? - Always been a coffee drinker during the day and wine when the sun goes down lol

Is there anything special you cook or bake? - Always wanted to bake pumpkin pie or apple pie. But my go to is always going to be a creamy soup when it’s cold.

Outdoor activities you and your other half do? - We love

to go for a walk in the trail and explore other places around the province.

What is something you've always wanted to do? - I’ve always wanted to go camping and travel for 6 months straight.
