OT - Tone-up Tuesday

Happy Tuesday, STalkers! Sorry I'm so late, but it's been a crazy day.

There are days (weeks!) when it's impossible to anticipate what will happen and if you'll be glued to your desk or need your running shoes. Today is a running shoes kinda day. No doubt about - running around with a cup of coffee can be hazardous!!

What do you to when you're so busy running around that you barely have time to go the bathroom, much less eat?  Candy bar? Protein bar? Bag of pretzels? Protein shake? Nuts?

If I know in advance that my morning will be hectic, I make a protein shake at home and drink it on my way to work. I always keep a high-protein shake in the work refrigerator and a high-protein bar at my desk, just in case. I tried those protein balls, but those things are too darn tasty and almost like eating cookie dough! 4-5 balls later... Gaaaaaaaaaaahhhhh!!!

What's your favorite meal-in-a-minute?

I keep protein shakes in the fridge at work Smile That way if something happens and I don't get a chance to eat, I can just grab one and call it a day!!! Best way to make sure I have something!!!

4-5 balls... More like 40-50... They're YUMMY. self control is hard!

PA, I like Atkins and Core Power, but the Core Power is getting $$$. I used to buy them by the case, but the ones I buy are no longer available. The newest Core Power "subscription" averages $5 a bottle. A BOTTLE! It's cheaper for me to buy protein powder and make my own!

Power Bar Protein Plus is my fave (Chocolate Peanut Butter). 20 grams of protein and it's like eating a candy bar. Nom nom nom...

I prefer the protein power. I just keep a couple in the fridge for emergencies Smile

Chocolate and peanut butter ANYTHING is heaven!

A meal in a minute, well usually if I'm running and don't have time I get a bag of Gardetto's. I know so bad for you, but they are so darn good and I don't eat them any other time.

It’s got little bread sticks, pretzels and rye chips, it’s the rye chips that get me every time

Ah, the energy spike of a delicious donut! When my insomnia is working overtime, sugar is the only thing that will give me the energy I need. A maple-bacon donut sounds awfully tasty...

Almonds in my desk. Sometimes a Kind bar or two. We have a coffee stand in our building so it's pretty easy to get something, even on the healthy side.

You're so lucky!! The vending machines at work is full of candy bars and chips and terrbile choices. The pretzels are the first to go and there is only one slot for them. And the crap-feteria is over-priced and crappy.

I'm lucky to work in a health care center so we have lots of healthy choices, even in the cafeteria. People complain about the prices (which are more than a normal caf) but we have like 3 varieties of sparking water to choose from!  Awesome! Food from local farms, fresh vegetarian options. Of course, one can go off the deep end and get a gigantic cookie, but it'll be super yummy.

I wish we had that! How about some fries or onion rings or fried potatoes? The eggs are cooked in butter. The bagels are grilled. In butter. The salads are iceberg lettuce, a tomato wedge, and some mild cheddar. You can get them with ham, turkey, or roast beef. Pfffft.
