I'm Back

Well, it's me again! I wanted to post a little note to let everyone know that I am alive and kicking! Surgery went well and they removed both breasts and approximately 9 to 12 lymph nodes. (I'm a little foggy on the lymph nodes!) There was no cancer in the lymph nodes but approximately 6 cm of invasive cancer in the left breast. Therefore, I still have to go through chemo. Unsure on radiation, but will find that out when I visit the oncologist. Physically I am doing well. It was a major shock seeing myself the first time after surgery but think I am dealing with all of it fairly well.

Just me?

I am having a hard time dealing with my SD. the problem is she cries about EVERYTHING!! She cries when her dad goes to work, she cries if a commercial comes on during her cartoon, she cries if I want her to go play while I do something.I DONT UNDERSTAND WHY THERE IS A NEED TO CRY OVER STUFF!!! I have NEVER been a cryer even when I was little and to be honest when I hear kids crying about stuff it fries my last nerve REAL fast. Am I the only one who is like this? I dont know how to fix it. I try to not let it get to me but it is nearly impossible. I get SO irritated with crying!

Things are going to get heated

My BF's ex-wife has had a history of causing problems for my BF. She tends to use their son as a reason to contact my BF for the most ridiculous reasons. They have been separated for the last four years and divorced for the last two. However, she constantly initiates contact with him and tries to provoke arguments about random things (which seems to be an attention-seeking behavior on her part). The frequency of her behaviors have escalated since I moved here about two months ago.

Legal Question....Candice maybe you know....

Does anyone know how this works…okay so she petitioned the court to get an increase in Child Support…they did the calculations and gave her a $65 a month decrease…she appealed the decrease…and they have been withholding the same amount of money from my husband’s check each month and then they take the $65 and put it in an “escrow” account…now if they decide at a later date that the original calculations stand, he will get the money…however if they decide that the original calculations were incorrect and she should have received an increase…will the penalize him for that and back date it?

Court

We went to court today…they pushed it back two more months…I think it is b/c she didn’t know that my husband had an attorney and she thought that her and her attorney were going to just railroad him…once her attorney found out that my husband had an attorney too, they “needed more time”…Imagine that!

P.S. Lylagaretts surgery is today at 1:00pm Central Standard time...don't forget to pray for her duing this time!

Question: How involve should I be in SS visitation schedule?

happy mom's picture

Hey gang...just wondering what your answer would be on this question? Should I butt out of the visitation schedule and let my husband deal with it? Ex wife is always changing schedule, like she wants to take son to his games and practices when it is our days. Or take him to a bday party on our day. I get irritated when I see her emails about getting involved on our days. What do you all think? My husband thinks I should leave it up to him.

Bio Son

I hope someone else has had this problem and can help me in dealing w/ it. My boyfriend has 2 daughters (ages 7 and 10) that he adores and is a great father to. My own son's father is basically a derelict who doesn't pay his child support, has spent time in jail, and has the maturity level of a 16 year old. The only contact he has with his son is sporatic visitation, which is always prompted by my son saying he misses his dad and wants to see him (never his dad calling & asking for him).
